The Pipeline Rehabilitation Technician position specializes in underground sewer maintenance and is responsible for a range of duties associated with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of sewer pipelines. This role will use specialized equipment for sewer repair, maintenance, and rehabilitation services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load materials and equipment for transportation to and from the job site efficiently.
- Perform repairs and maintenance activities on sewer pipelines, which may involve using various tools and equipment to fix issues.
- Install new pipeline components or replace damaged sections as part of maintenance or upgrade projects.
- Complete all necessary tasks to assist in carrying out sewer maintenance.
- Work with specialized equipment such as boilers, robot cameras, and cutters.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Perform job site setup and cleanup.
- Utilize trenchless technology to repair pipelines, including both mains and laterals.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and complex issues.
- Ensure that tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Arrive at the office or job site on time and ready to work.
- Adhere to company policies.
- Works when scheduled and complies with the company attendance policy.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS NEEDED
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check and be able to participate in a random drug screening program as required by FMCSA.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class A or B commercial driver’s license permit within six months of hire.
- Must be willing and capable of traveling weekly as required and on weekends as needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Experience working in a physical labor position with outdoor construction is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform work conducted in and around confined spaces.
- Must be able to enter and perform work in confined spaces such as close quarters, crawl spaces, manholes, and other areas.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
In an industrial setting, outside environment, exposure to extreme temperatures and elements is possible, as well as noisy conditions and exposure to hazardous chemicals. Conditions include tight spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Position requires climbing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, standing for long periods, using hands and fingers to operate tools.
Travel Requirements: Must be willing and capable of traveling weekly as required and on weekends as needed.
